About us
Skillern Academy Private Limited is a Bengaluru-based skill education company founded in 2023. We partner with schools, PU colleges and degree colleges to deliver structured, assessed and certified skill programmes, from coding and mathematics in middle school to taxation and GST compliance at graduation.
Our position
Too many skill initiatives are short workshops that end in a certificate and little else. We take the opposite view. Every Skillern Academy course has a published syllabus, a fixed number of teaching hours, practical work on the tools used in industry and a formal assessment. Institutions can review exactly what will be taught; students leave with competencies they can demonstrate. Our programmes are designed to sit inside the academic year rather than beside it: one course per semester in degree colleges, year-long programmes in schools, and scheduling that respects examinations.
Our journey
Our team first met virtually in 2021, during the second wave of the COVID-19 pandemic, while working with Byju’s. Coming from rural backgrounds, we understood the barriers to quality education, technology and career opportunities.
In March 2023, we began delivering courses in Anekal Taluk, South Bengaluru, with an early focus on Data Analytics and Vedic Mathematics. That commitment to accessible, expert-led education continues across our school and college programmes.
